NEXO session on the implementation of the PAD payment in private health insurers

On Wednesday 12 August, our Conversatorio will cover Circular IF No. 518 from the Chilean Superintendency of Health, which requires every isapre in Chile to offer the Diagnosis-Associated Payment system (PAD) at a fixed, known price.

This benefit must be in place no later than 1 December 2026, which is why it matters that we all understand, by that date, a benefit that until now was exclusive to FONASA.

Over the coming months we will start receiving information from the different isapres about the providers they will enable for bundled procedures under this arrangement. Each person will need to assess, at the time of care, whether this option or the one tied to the preferred network of their individual plan works better for them.

That is why our Deputy Manager of Group Life and Health Insurance, Ana María Palma Valenzuela, a senior health specialist, together with Claudio Véliz Barrera, an expert in the health system, will help us understand this new benefit in detail.
